The geese at Shangana Cultural Village are the happy owners of a new pond at Xintu Village. In the meantime everybody in the village waits with anticipation on the new geese arrivals - currently there are 12 eggs in the nest and hatching can take place any day. Chief Israel Ngobeni is proud on what his children have build for his "watchdogs". It is the daily responsibility of the Chief's children to clean the pond, nesting area (cannot touch the eggs, because the geese are very protective), feed them and maintain the area around the pond.
Guests on the Day Tour or even Evening Festival will have an opportunity to see the geese in their new pond and hopefully soon the new arrivals - come take a picture with the cackling geese in the back ground.
