The Shangana Crafters had decided to exhibit their handwork and unique crafts at the Shangana Cultural Village entrance gate during the Festive Season. This is an effort to showcase (and sell) their products to passerby traffic and market the village tours to travellers on the road between Graskop and Hazyview (from the Panorama Route to Kruger National Park or vice versa).
This is another example of how the community gets involve in the Shangana operations and provide needed income. Shangana constantly revise their Sustainable and Responsible Tourism projects in order to provide something unique and fresh to tourists and contribute to the local economy, all in harmony with the environment.
The support of the tourism industry is very important to the livelihood of these crafters and performers at Shangana Cultural Village.
